چکیده

The purpose of the study was to evaluate short-term effects aflatoxin B1 (AFB1 100 µg/kg feed) and sterigmatocystin (STC 1000 μg/kg exposure individually in combination (100 μg AFB1 + STC/kg on parameters lipid peroxidation glutathione redox system both biochemical gene expression levels one-year-old common carp. Lipid were slightly affected, as significant differences observed only conjugated diene triene concentrations. Reduced content decreased more markedly by STC than or AFB1+STC, but peroxidase activity did not change. Expression gpx4a, gpx4b, gss, gsr genes down-regulated due compared while an induction found effect AFB1+STC case down-regulation for gpx4b AFB1. biosynthesis regulatory gene, higher, recycling enzyme encoding gsr, lower These results are supported changes transcription factors genes, nrf2, keap1. revealed that individual different synergistic antagonistic multi-toxin treatment.

Ameliorating effects of genestein: Study on mice liver glutathione and lipid peroxidation after irradiation

Background: Genistein is a soya isoflavone, which is found naturally in legumes, such as soybeans and chickpeas. Radiation–induced free radicals in turn impair the antioxidative defense mechanism, leading to an increased membrane lipid peroxidation that results in damage of the membrane bound enzyme and may lead to damage or death of cell. Hence, the lipid peroxidation is a good biomar...
